This Month: Fruit Beer (See Guidelines below)

Break it out for the next meeting.  Only one bottle is necessary, and I’m not picky about bottle size or markings.  Just get the beer there.

The entries will be judged by the club members at the meeting, and the winner will be announced that night.

The brewer with the highest cumulative points in a year will receive the title of Barley Mob Brewer of the Year. Using cumulative points will help even the playing field, rewarding those who brew a lot.  If you never win, but you have an entry every month, you may amass enough points over the year to be the Barley Mob Brewer of the Year.

We will also have a title of Barley Mob Beer of the Year for the highest scoring beer over the entire year.  This is to reward those who brew extremely high quality beers.

I’m hoping to get more club brews to the meeting, and get more people acquainted with the judging process.  J

Future Styles:

JAN: Specialty Ale

FEB: Open Style (Anything you like!)

MAR: Irish and Scottish Ale

APR: Belgian Ale

MAY: American Wheat or Rye

JUN: Fruit Beer

JUL: Brown Ale

AUG: Pale Ale

SEP: English Ale

OCT: Oktoberfest / Any other Lagers

NOV: Porter

DEC: IPA
